OUR TECHNIQUES

Softwash is a new, environmentally-friendly alternative to pressure washing

Instead of the harsh effects from pressure washing, property owners can have cleanings done without the damage normally associated with pressure washing.

Advantages of Softwash vs. Power or Pressure Washing

PRESSURE WASHING

  • The traditional, high pressure method of cleaning
  • 1,500+ to 3,100 PSI blasting inches away from the surface to clean
  • Blasts only the surface of the stain, leaving the root of the bacteria to grow back faster

CAUTION!

High pressure washing systems are likely to damage asphalt roofing and void your manufacturer warranty and should not be used on asphalt roofing for removing algae or for any other purpose.

SOFTWASHING

  • 80+ PSI (good garden hose pressure) applying biodegradable solutions to the home, then simply rinse away with water
  • Gentle, low pressure technology is safe for all surfaces
  • Biodegradable, water-based solutions emulsify dirt and grime and sanitize mildew, algae & other bacteria for a longer lasting clean
  • Recommended roof cleaning method by the ARMA & GAF

Our unique process utilizes the World Health Organization & CDC recommended sanitizing process. Our priority as a health & safety company is to help reduce slip and fall hazards, eliminate mildew causing allergens and provide a healthier sanitized environment.

BENEFITS OF Softwash

Keeps Your Home Looking Great.

Dirt is removed whenever you softwash your home, and all contaminants and bacteria are killed. This will not only bring out the beauty of your home, but also bring up its value. If you want your home to look beautiful, we recommend softwashing your siding, driveway, deck, and roof.

Saves Money.

If your roof is damaged and equally dirty, we recommend you softwash it as soon as possible. Softwashing your roof will make your roof more durable and will reduce the need for costly repairs and upkeep.

Increases the Longevity of Your Home.

Many months or weeks of dry and rough weather can make any home start to look shabby. Mildew does not only pose a health risk to your family, it can also cause expensive damage to your home’s exterior and reduce the lifespan of your roof. Regular softwash maintenance is recommended to maintain a strong and clean roof.

Energy Savings.

A dirty, dark, and stained roof is not just an eyesore, it also causes a high increment in the cost of electricity during the summer. Dark roofs attract more sun and absorb more heat than clean roofs, increasing your electric bill from the A/C in the warmer months.

Keeps Your Family Healthy.

Mildew and mold can cause a slew of respiratory issues and allergic reactions in you and your family. If this bacteria is growing on your home’s exterior, it can soon grow inside your home, thereby posing a great threat to your family. The moment you notice that mold is growing on the outside of your home, we recommend you schedule a softwashing service to remove the growth and kill the organisms at their roots.

Wards Off Pests.

Whenever you softwash your house, you are also getting rid of any pests that occupy your home. Birds, rodents, and other pests are much less likely to occupy your home if the external part of your home is clean. Regular softwashing provides pest control, keeping them away from your home.

Eco-Friendly.

In addition to saving money on electricity, softwashing is also eco-friendly. This is because softwashing uses a biodegradable solution that destroys organisms without employing harsher chemical methods that could destroy the grass or plants around your house.

Softwashing was developed by engineers in plant sciences and horticulture. These engineers knew that the bacteria, molds, fungi, and algae growing on the exterior of buildings were more closely associated with an infection than a stain. Experts combined the technology of treating pests and fungus on plants with compatible cleaning chemicals, thereby inventing a method of “softwashing.”

The main culprit of most staining that causes prevalent black streaks is a bacteria called Gloeocapsa Magma. Many of the organisms that grow on a roof and surfaces, including mildew, algae, bacteria, moss, lichen, and fungi, copulate in the warm, moist environment created by a roof.
