Pura Softwash Plant Protection Plan: How We Keep Your Landscaping Safe

Jul 14, 2025

At Pura Softwash, we take pride in not only delivering a superior clean but also ensuring the safety of your landscaping throughout the process. Our cleaning solutions are highly effective against organic growth like algae, mildew, and moss—but they also contain sodium hypochlorite, a bleach-based agent that requires careful handling around plant life. That’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive Plant Protection Plan to safeguard your property’s greenery before, during, and after every service.

Preparation starts a few days before we arrive. We ask that all clients thoroughly water their plants—top to bottom—once a day for 3 to 5 days leading up to the scheduled cleaning. Pre-watering is one of the most important steps in preventing plant stress, as fully hydrated roots and leaves are less likely to absorb cleaning agents. On the day of service, this moisture barrier adds another layer of protection.

During the cleaning itself, our team actively protects your landscaping using an 8-gallon-per-minute pump system to continuously flood the surrounding areas with water. This neutralizes any overspray or runoff in real time, reducing the chances of chemical contact. Our crews are trained to spot sensitive areas and take extra precautions where necessary, including covering or redirecting flow where appropriate.

After the softwash is complete, we continue watering all treated zones to further dilute and rinse away any lingering residue. We also encourage homeowners to repeat this process again after we leave, ensuring their plants get a final rinse. This three-part approach—preparation, protection, and post-care—is the foundation of our Plant Protection Plan.

Your landscaping is a valuable part of your home’s exterior, and it deserves to be treated with the same care as your siding, roof, or patio. At Pura Softwash, we’ve built our process around responsible, effective cleaning that brings out the best in your property—without compromise.
